World Cardmaking Day '23

 Hello and Welcome! Saturday October 8th was World Cardmaking Day. It was started as an official start to making your Christmas/holiday cards. Were you participating in WCMD '23?

I managed to make 7 Christmas cards and a general thinking of you. The card I'm sharing today is by far my favorite! It's a blend of Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, Honey Bee, AltENew, Pink and Main, and Gina K Designs. Phew! I don't always remember to mix and match my stash. I often get set locked - in that I'll start with one stamp or die set and can't see past it to use anything outside the set or provided examples. 



The Hero Arts peeking reindeer and candy canes are from their Holiday Shop box on a limited release to select retailers. I'll have links below. I cut the reindeer from Gina K Designs Kraft & Warm Cocoa cardstock and also scraps of red and green metallic for the collar. After applying glue to his antlers, I dipped it in Pink & Main white flock. The candy cane was cut from GKD heavy white and AltENew red glitter cardstock. 

The wreath is cut twice from Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Holiday Wreath Add-On and extra holly leaves and berries cut from AltENew glitter cardstock. 

The sentiment strip is from Gina K Designs and Honey Bee buzz words Christmas. 



This one was also fun to make, although a bit tedious with all the die cuts. These are from older pieces in my stash including Sizzix, Lawn Fawn, Tonic, and Gina K. I wasn't too much in the mood for inking at the time and looked for a cards that was all die cuts (except for the sentiment).

    I’m 🥰 with the peeking reindeer card! I like how you just layered different pieces to make an elegant card! The snowmen are adorable!

Persistence Badge Earned

Today I have a few cards to share with you. Today's projects feature Gina K Designs products. All products will be linked below where possible. My first card today went pretty well and close to what I imagined it to be. I masked a 3/4" border right onto the base of my card (Ivory heavy weight). Then I blended Medium Lilac, Powder Blue, and Applemint inks using GKD blending brushes until I got a nice smooth blend. Using Flowing Florals Stamp set, I stamped the image in the bottom right corner of the blended area in Black Onyx. Using Stormy Sky, I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment from the same stamp set in the top left corner.  Just for fun, I used a Copic multi-liner pen to add a hand-drawn whimsical border around the edges. Added some GKD Disco sequins in the regular and mini sizes and called it complete.  My second project earned me a persistence badge. Bunnies, Bunnies, Everywhere!

 Happy Labor Day Weekend! That means picnics, time off to spend with the family, and an extra day in the craft room! Today I have a sweet birthday card to share with you. I needed a special card for my best friend's daughter's birthday coming up and I thought this would be perfect to share as my first crafting post with everyone. So, let's jump right in. This card is featuring LDRS Creative's Up the Rabbit Hole . This set has been sitting in my stash unused for far too long. I started by stamping my images with a Copic friendly ink. My go-to alcohol friendly inks are Momento Tuxedo Black and Gina K Designs Black Onyx . Today I went with the Tuxedo Black stamped on GKD layering white cardstock. Bunnies:  Tail: N0; Body: C2, C3, C5; Ears: R01, R20 The bunnies were a bit too small to add a bit of pink for the cheeks. New Love for Old Products

 Hello and welcome back to Snip N Share. If it's your first time here, welcome! Raise your hand if you have some stamps in your stash that have gone unused for at least a year? I see you. I see smirks that say you have items in your collection that have never been used in years! Time to break them out and give them some loving.  Last September, Reverse Confetti was selling mystery boxes. I love to purchase these and set them aside for Christmas gifts to myself. I tend to do most of the Christmas shopping and so with mystery boxes the contents are truly a surprise. And I must say, I've not been disappointed yet.  So, I set my Reverse Confetti box aside and not a month after arriving and nestled into a drawer to avoid peeking, Reverse Confetti made the announcement they were retiring and closing shop. It was bittersweet on Christmas day when I got to see all my new goodies.  I've poked around here and there with them but haven't gotten really creative with any one set. So
